My work develops through material, time and environment. I work with natural dyes, paper, and elements sourced locally, including soil and plant matter, allowing each piece to form without a fixed outcome.
My approach to dyeing was shaped through study with Aboubakar Fofana and has since developed into my own process using Nebraska soil, water, and other natural materials. The work is grounded in place and built through direct engagement with what is available.
I’m interested in how materials carry change—how they absorb, hold, and reflect what has occurred.
I also explore collaborative work influenced by Exquisite Corpse, a method in which multiple contributors shape a piece over time. This introduces variation and shared authorship, allowing the work to evolve beyond a single point of control.
