Professional Education & Workforce Development

Nebraska Health Care Solutions supports the education and professional development of current and future health care workers. Through Nebraska HCS, we aim to provide practical education that strengthens knowledge, builds confidence and helps individuals prepare for work across clinical, administrative and health information settings.

Educational offerings may include continuing education, professional development, skills refreshers, documentation and health information topics, patient care concepts, caregiver education and workforce preparation. Programs may be developed for nurses, nursing assistants, medication aides, pharmacy technicians, health information professionals, administrative staff and others working in or preparing to enter health care.

We also recognize that many health care careers begin outside traditional nursing roles. Nebraska HCS plans to provide educational opportunities for individuals interested in health care technology, health information, medical office administration, pharmacy support and other non-nursing health care occupations.

Training for Entry Into Health Care

As Nebraska HCS grows, our goal is to expand into structured training opportunities that help individuals prepare for entry-level health care careers. This includes pursuing the appropriate approvals and requirements necessary to offer formal nursing assistant and medication aide education and other health care training programs.

Continuing Education

Nebraska HCS is developing continuing education and professional-development programming for health care professionals. Courses will be designed around defined learning objectives, relevant professional standards and practical application in health care settings.

Continuing education credit or professional approval will be identified only for programs that have received the applicable authorization or approval.

Our Approach

Our educational programs are intended to be practical, accessible and relevant to the work health care professionals perform every day. We emphasize usable knowledge, sound documentation, patient-centered care, professional responsibility and preparation for changing roles within health care.

Professionals may contact Nebraska Health Care Solutions regarding individuals or families who could benefit from additional assistance outside the services immediately available through their organization.

We will review the circumstances, determine whether the requested assistance falls within our capabilities and identify whether Nebraska Health Care Solutions is an appropriate resource.
