Notice: Cancellation of "Stash to Cash" Event
Dear Friends and Supporters,
After much reflection, I have decided to cancel the "Stash to Cash" event. This decision stems from challenges that extend beyond the event itself, which was intended as a simple rummage sale.
As someone who has experienced the ongoing impact of societal issues like racism in the workplace, it is disheartening to find these same issues persisting in creative spaces as well. I had hoped that the arts could serve as a haven from such struggles, but unfortunately, it seems these challenges extend here too. These barriers have made it difficult to move forward with this initiative as planned.
To those who registered or expressed interest, I am deeply grateful. Refunds have been issued to all registrants, and your support has been truly appreciated.
Fiber Arts Omaha is undergoing significant changes. Moving forward, we will focus on fostering creativity, inclusivity, and building a community rooted in shared values and mutual support.
Thank you for your understanding as we embrace this new direction.
