Welcome to the Fiber Arts Omaha Summer Sunflower Project 2024!

In-Person June 8, 22, July 6 and July 20.

Join me on an exciting adventure where kids can discover the joys of gardening, science, and creativity all through the lens of growing sunflowers.

Our Summer Sunflower Project invites children to cultivate their very own sunflowers, track their growth, engage in fun and educational activities, and participate in a grand celebration at the end of the season.

This project is a wonderful way to combine Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) into a single, enriching experience.

Plus, our program aims to improve children's oral and written communication skills through various interactive activities.

Why Sunflowers?

Sunflowers are not only beautiful and cheerful plants, but they also offer a wealth of learning opportunities. They grow quickly, making them perfect for teaching kids about plant growth and development. Additionally, sunflowers can be used to explore a variety of scientific concepts, from photosynthesis to pollination, and artistic ideas, like symmetry and color theory.
