What to expect during a natural dyeing workshop

Natural dyeing is exciting-you can never get bored and the entire process-no matter how hard you plan is never really exactly predictable.

When you come to a workshop you should expect that not all workshops are the same. People that teach natural dyeing don’t teach it the same way-because not all color is derived by the same methods and a lot that goes into acquiring color depends greatly on any number of facts, including but not limited to: season, dye material, tannins, mordant used, the plant, water and even the weather.
