Exhibitions
Art deserves to be experienced in person.
The Center for Creative Arts Omaha presents exhibitions that celebrate originality, craftsmanship and creative inquiry. Exhibitions may feature emerging artists, established artists, collaborative projects and thematic presentations representing a wide range of artistic disciplines.
Our goal is to create thoughtful exhibitions that encourage conversation, curiosity and appreciation for both traditional and contemporary creative practice.
Whether an exhibition focuses on textiles, painting, mixed media, ceramics, photography, sculpture, natural materials or interdisciplinary work, each presentation is selected to encourage meaningful engagement between artists and the community.

Collaborative Emergence
January 2027
Nebraska City, Nebraska
Collaborative Emergence explores the relationship between individual artistic vision and collective participation. Through mixed-media works developed using collaborative methodologies, the exhibition examines how creative ideas evolve through interaction, experimentation and shared experience while remaining rooted in the artist's individual voice.
Call for Artists
The Center welcomes inquiries from artists interested in exhibiting original work.
Artists working in both traditional and contemporary media are encouraged to submit proposals.
The Center values originality, craftsmanship and thoughtful exploration of materials and ideas.
Artist Talks & Demonstrations
Many exhibitions include opportunities to hear directly from participating artists through gallery talks, demonstrations and discussions about artistic practice.
These events provide visitors with insight into materials, techniques, inspiration and the creative decisions that shape finished works.
Exhibition Philosophy
The Center believes exhibitions should be more than places where finished artwork hangs on walls.
They should encourage questions.
How was this created?
Why were these materials selected?
What inspired the artist?
What failed before the work succeeded?
By inviting artists to discuss their creative practice, visitors gain a deeper understanding of the dedication, experimentation and craftsmanship behind each piece.
