The creative community thrives when artists support one another through encouragement, respect and ethical collaboration.

We encourage visitors to attend exhibitions, support workshops, credit artistic inspiration appropriately and recognize the time, research and dedication that contribute to original creative work.

Collaboration is welcomed. Attribution is appreciated.

Intellectual Property & Creative Practice

Respecting Original Creative Work

The Center for Creative Arts Omaha is committed to supporting artists, encouraging creative exploration and fostering meaningful educational experiences.

Artistic practice is built upon years of observation, experimentation, research and continual refinement. The original methods, instructional materials, demonstrations and creative approaches developed by individual artists represent valuable intellectual property and deserve professional respect.

Our Commitment

The Center encourages the open exchange of ideas while recognizing that every artist determines how, when and to what extent they share their creative process.

Visitors, participants and organizations are asked to respect these decisions as part of supporting a healthy and sustainable creative community.

Workshops and Demonstrations

Workshops, demonstrations and artist presentations are designed to educate, inspire and encourage creative exploration.

Participation in a program does not grant permission to reproduce instructional content, develop educational curriculum based upon an artist's original methods or present those methods as instruction for outside organizations, clubs, workshops or commercial programming without the artist's express permission.

Organizations interested in offering these experiences are encouraged to contact the Center to discuss authorized programming.

Photography and Recording

Photography policies may vary depending upon the artist, exhibition or event.

Unless otherwise announced, please ask permission before photographing demonstrations, instructional materials or works in progress.

Audio or video recording of workshops, demonstrations or instructional presentations is not permitted without explicit prior authorization.

For Organizations

Schools, museums, libraries, businesses, community organizations and civic groups interested in presenting a workshop, demonstration or artist program are encouraged to contact the Center directly.

The Center is pleased to develop customized educational experiences in partnership with organizations throughout the region.

Supporting Artists

One of the Center's primary goals is to support the artists who generously share their knowledge with the public.

Respecting original creative work helps preserve artistic innovation, encourages continued research and ensures artists receive appropriate recognition for their contributions to the creative community.
