Calandra Cooper

Calandra has never ceased living, learning and following her passions.

In addition to working towards a fine arts degree, Calandra is passionate about community, giving back and has dreams of opening a large scale arts center in the Omaha community one day. At present, she operates a 600 square foot art studio located in Omaha’s Midtown, which is open to the public through various classes and workshops.

Calandra began hosting The Natural Dye Social and Fiber Arts Festival Omaha in 2019. The organization formed as a legal 501C3 in June 2022.

She studied communications (public relations/journalism) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and earned separate Associate in Applied Science degrees from Metropolitan Community College in:  accounting, business management, legal studies and health management information systems.

Calandra is a Nebraska certified pharmacy technician, also studying to become a licensed practical nurse and an emergency medical technician.
