What's cooking? Leaves....experiments in natural dyeing

Results of the leaf tannin extraction...another one of my mad scientist natural dye experiments.

The final cloth is the last photo...using a light tannin..from the yellow dried fruit tree leaves..mostly pear and cherry leaves

I also have a darker tannin which came out red..using the same fruit tree (mostly apple and crab apple) leaves, but they were dried at stages of drying and color variants.

I didn't add anything to the tannin bath.

In the end, I'll use the dyed cloth as canvas (and more natural dyeing) and for mud cloth.
